Installing using the binary installer
The binary installers are on Bazel’sGitHub releases page.

Step 3: Run the installer
Run the Bazel installer as follows:
The
--user
flag installs Bazel to the $HOME/bin
directory on your system andsets the .bazelrc
path to $HOME/.bazelrc
. Use the --help
command to seeadditional installation options.If you are on macOS Catalina and get an error that “bazel-real” cannot beopened because the developer cannot be verified, you will need to re-downloadthe installer from the terminal using
curl
as a workaround; see Step 2 above.Step 4: Set up your environment
If you ran the Bazel installer with the
--user
flag as above, the Bazelexecutable is installed in your $HOME/bin
